The Work Order Coordinator is responsible for coordinating technical design, engineering and production information into executable work orders. The role ensures that all packages are clearly defined and sequenced to support the project schedule, standards and class requirements.

** We are needing several Work Order coordinators to work on the specific roles below:
- Electrical
- Fabrication
- Paint
- Piping & Mechanical
What’s Involved
- Develop and issue detailed work orders to support production, including clear scopes, sequencing, hours, and bill of materials (BoM).
- Ensure all work orders meet yard standards, class requirements, and engineering specifications.
- Coordinate closely with scheduling, engineering, and procurement to align work orders with project timelines and ensure material availability.
- Manage work order changes due to engineering revisions, non-conformances, or change requests, ensuring version control and stakeholder communication.
- Capture lessons learned, risks, and issues from production execution and feed into continuous improvement.
- Monitor and update planning data for accurate reporting and future vessel planning.
- Review and update drawings or documentation within work packs, ensuring correct issue control and stakeholder notification.
- Collaborate across disciplines to support project delivery and drive process improvements aligned with team objectives.
You’ll Need
Essential
- Effective communications skills, and
- Competency in Microsoft office, design software and ERP.
- Relevant trade qualification
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications
Desirable
- Experience with use of Primavera
- Formal Planning/Scheduling training
- 5 Years’ experience in a Planning role in Shipbuilding, complex manufacturing or construction.
- Engineering qualification, Mechanical or equivalent (Cert IV)
- P6 user
